Passionate About Inspiring Others
Sherri recognizes the need to use her platform to edify others. To this end, she thrives from life lessons. Her thoughts are that we must "Learn to look, listen, laugh, love and live through life's lessons. . . knowing that 'your potential is not what you have done, but what you can do!"
. . . Through #FemaleNOTFeemale, Sherri advocates against child sexual exploitation and sex slavery, and the collateral consequences associated with criminalizing the acts of the victims of sex trafficking through acts of prostitution and related offenses.
In 2007, she founded the African American Juvenile Justice Project, a pro bono, non-governmental advocacy program working for juvenile justice and reform, with a focus upon community accountability and responsibility and youth leadership.
Through this project, Jefferson began a national advocacy to "Raise the Age" of juveniles subject to adult prosecution to 18 years old. She is currently spearheading efforts in the State of Georgia via Raise The Age Georgia. #RaisetheAgeGA
Recognizing the correlation between juvenile deprivation, delinquency, sexual exploitation and sex trafficking against the impact of single parent households, fathers removed from the home or fathers who do not participate in the lives of their children, Sherri advocates for and promotes fathers' rights.
For more than a decade, Jefferson has traveled to provide legal educational services to all members of the civic, church, and community. She launched the “Law Mobile” program and has continued these endeavors.
Sherri Jefferson Publishing has focused on independently publishing works via iBooks, Kindle, Nook, and in paperback through Amazon, Borders and Barnes & Nobles. Since 2009, Jefferson has hosted and produced radio content for “Live with Sherri,” “Wake Up” and “Sherri Speaks.”
