The program was spearheaded and sponsored by the Henry County Georgia Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. in collaboration with Clayton State University, The Zeta Mu Nu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and Streetz 94.5 and Old School 87.7 radio stations
The purpose of their Job Fair is to provide community outreach and employment services to returning citizens. The programs offered included,
The 3rd Annual Job Fair for Returning Citizens will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 14 at the college, located at 2000 Clayton State Boulevard, Harry S. Downs Continuing Education Bldg.,
Organizers said the event will provide:
Access to employers
Job readiness training
Free business suits
The “Understanding and Navigating Outstanding Child Support” literature provided information about child support obligations during incarceration, repayment upon release, and steps to take to avoid contempt of court and prosecution. Jefferson also shared literature about ending sex trafficking of women and children #FemaleNOTFeemale and JUST US Juvenile Urban Sex Trafficking in the United States.
