African American Juvenile Justice Project Sherri Jefferson

On June 27, 2019, the African American Juvenile Justice Project (AAJJP) in collaboration with #FemaleNOTFeemale and #JUSTUS partnered with the Hope Center and Compass of Macon, Georgia for HIV awareness.

Together with other community partners, we joined Fort Valley State University, AARP, Georgia Department of Health, Miss Beauty of the South Pageant (an advocacy organization for Transgender women) and, others to emphasize the importance of getting tested for HIV and AIDS..

Mr. Alvin Lindsey of FVSU, Compass, and the Hope Center spearheaded this event, which included testing, awareness, free healthy eating programs with a live chef, and free food for the needy. Participants throughout central Georgia came for the event.
